Heat up some avocado oil in a deep skillet. Add ginger and garlic. When fragrant, add orange juice, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, sesame oil, honey and chili flakes.
When boiling, turn the heat to low. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until thickened.
Take it off the heat and add the orange zest. Taste the sauce and adjust the flavor by adding salt, pepper, more orange juice or soy sauce. Set the sauce aside for now (if the chicken and broccoli are not ready yet).
While the sauce is reducing, season the chicken with salt and pepper. In a large skillet heated up some avocado oil, add the seasoned chicken for 5-8 minutes until cooked through, but still juicy.
In another pot parboil the broccoli florets for about 3-5 minutes.
Add both the broccoli and the chicken to the thickened sauce and stir to combine.
Divide it over 4 plates, serve it with (brown) rice and garnish the chicken and broccoli with sesame seeds.
