Healthier sweet chili sauce

My healthy version of sweet chili sauce. Made with honey. Simple and quick to make!

Ingredients
  

  • 170 gr honey (½ cup)
  • 120 ml water (½ cup. Or use ¼ cup water, ¼ cup lime juice)
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • tsp cornstarch
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • ¼-¾ tsp red pepper flakes (use to your liking)
  • ½ tsp sea salt

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients to a medium sauce pan and mix well until the cornstarch has dissolved
  • Bring to boil on medium heat. Once boiling, reduce heat to low and let is simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Take off the heat and let it cool off for 5 minutes before pouring it in a jar.
  • Once the sauce reaches room temperature, seal the jar and put it in the refrigerator. Keeps for 3 weeks.
